About Heather:

Heather began her writing career young, writing plays and short stories. It wasn't until college that she discovered her love of writing novels. Because of the Brave is Heather's first full length fiction novel to be published.

Because of the Brave was in part a re-occurring dream that Heather kept having. Since dreams are hard to remember, she wrote what she could and pulled the story together with creative details. This novel is close to Heather's heart as she has many friends and family members who have or are currently serving in a branch of the United States Armed Services.

Heather spent most of her life working in the nonprofit sector directing programs for inner city youth. It wasn't until her son was born that she became a stay at home mom. She is passionate about raising her son, staying healthy, and sharing her stories. Heather is currently living with her husband, son, and dog in Massachusetts, where she has lived all her life.
